Just pitched the BC...and I'm confused...

I had just finished my period last week, and started my pack of Orthotricyclen (3 days in) when my husband decided we shouldn't bother to take them anymore. I gleefully threw them out...then I started bleeding again. So two periods in two weeks. :

Is this normal? Is my body really that much of a trained seal, so that when I go off pills for any reason, it starts bleeding? Where the heck is it all coming from?

And the real question. Do I count that as the beginning of my cycle? Or wait until my next AF and count that as the beginning? I'm confused.

yes it's normal, any time you take away the hormones you're going to bleed - whether it's the beginning of a cycle, or the end of the cycle when you get your usual 'period' - it's called a withdrawal bleed. It's because of the sharp drop in progesterone levels.

You can count the first day of the most recent bleeding as CD1.
