Cervix Question (TMI)

I've been inserting 1 EPO capsule in my hoo-ha (I love that word ) every night before bed. I've been trying to push it as far back as I can but have never been able to get it to my cervix... just simply couldn't reach that far up!

Then last night (per hubby's instructions, he's soo ready for his little girl ) I inserted 2 EPO capsules. I again tried to get as far back as I could and BAM! I hit an end point that was a LOT closer than the previous times I put in the capsules. I expected the tablets to settle against each other in there, but they went to opposite sides and were FAR from touching. I started feeling around (cause hey, it's my 1st time feeling my cervix after all) and it's all mushy. Then I noticed that in the middle there was this part that poked out... It was rounded like a bubble and felt quite big. I didn't want to be too rough since I didn't know what the heck it was, but it felt really crazy.

Anyways, was wondering if any of you could (from my description) tell me maybe what I'm feeling and what (might) be going on down there. It was cool and now I'm nosy to know what I felt, lol. I'm a nerd, huh?

Thanks!

I felt the exact same thing this morning when I checked mine. I was wondering if it was maybe the mucous plug???

That's what I was thinking too. You're getting closer, due date buddy. I found something very similar yesterday.

Could it be the amniotic sac you were feeling? You said it felt like a bubble.....like a balloon type bubble?

I don't know. Maybe?? All I know is that everything was really mushy and I could feel and edge around the bubble thing (the bubble was a bit less mushy than the rest, but not too much)... like maybe it was poking out of something? But there was an indention all the way around it in the shape of a ring. Like I said though, I didn't get to rough. I was afraid if I explored too much I could accidentally "strip" myself or even break my water, so I left it alone, lol.

If you felt a bubble and there was a ring around it, what it sound to me like you were feeling was the amniotic sac (bubble) and your cervix (the ring). How cool!

I tried teaching DH how to tell (with no luck) and he said he couldn't tell anything because it all felt like mush.

I agree it sounds like the sac. That's what I felt when I checked myself right before we went to the hospital. I was at 4-5cm when we got there and sure enough it was the sac I'd felt!

Cool! That'd be kickass if that's what it is! Maybe things are progressing pretty good then! That's great bc I have no earthly idea what's going on since I'm not getting checked by my OB.

I got hubby to feel and he was all like "EWW!!" as soon as he hit the mushiness. And then he told me I couldn't get any sex anymore since it's so short (a finger's length) and he's afraid of hitting it and hurting me or breaking my water, lol. He told me I'd have to deal with my EPO and pineapple as cervical ripeing stuff, lol. So no sex

I am feeling something similar as well, only my 'ring' feels kinda rubberband-like and is stretchable (well, I pushed and it moved a little), then the round thing. I have an appt tomorrow and they want to do an internal, because I'm super curious about what I'm feeling, I'm probably going to let them. If I'm dialated at all, I guess what I am feeling is sac. If not.. then I have NO clue what I'm feeling . Whatever it is is so much lower then it was, softer, and wider.

Wow...that is so cool! I honestly can't tell you what's going on up there for me since I make DH insert the EPO capsules. I've tried to tell him what to feel for, but he says he doesn't feel anything noticeable. I don't think I could effectively reach around my belly and feel my own cervix anyway ...props to you!

thats what it sounds like to me. just know that you could walk around for weeks like that. i have been using 6 tablets of EPO daily. i would ask your HCP but you are probably ok increasing the number of tablets.

im jealous of you though..i cant tell anything. i think my cervix may be posterior. i cant figure it out at all and am not getting internal checks.
