Making handkerchiefs - trimming the corners?

I'm making dh some handkerchiefs for Christmas out of some flannel. I'm just folding each of the side up about a 1/4" and then stitching along that edge. I'm not quite getting the trimming of the corners right (need to cut down on the bulk), but don't quite know how to word my query so the search engine returns the right info.

Any suggestions?

I knew this would come in handy (hehe, I still haven't tried it): http://wisdomofthemoon.blogspot.com/...d-corners.html

Oh cool - thanks! Now I've got a couple of ways to consider it since I also had one of those funny aha moments. Another way to look at it is a mitered corner.
