What week of pregnancy did you start the course? Also, did you practice every day? or how often?

Thanks!

I just got started tonight on my home-study course. I'll be 27 weeks tomorrow. I know in the book it says to start around 26 weeks. I plan on practicing every night, I hope I stay diligent since I'm very excited about hypnobabies!

I started at 28 weeks, but that's when I discovered it. It turned out to be perfect timing... I took an extra week to complete the program, had my baby a week early, and still had several weeks of maintenance. Honestly, I was getting burned out on it by the end. I'm at 26 weeks right now and I think I'll start on it soon because I need the relaxation practice, but I'll probably be laid back about it and won't do it all every day.

I started really early--at 23 weeks--because the class we were taking wasn't going to be offered again before our baby's birth. It gave me lots of time to get really familiar with everything! I enjoyed it, though--found it very relaxing.

I definitely practiced every day. I did a live class, but I think you would probably be best off to do the same for the homestudy program.

Beginning of third trimester is a good time. Here's a chart:

You need at least 5 weeks for the home study and 6 weeks for the live class.

I started really early, before 20 weeks. But it's letting me take the class slower and spend 2 weeks for each week instead of just one. I'm getting ready to move onto week 3, I just haven't found the time to learn the next step. It's been easier to pop in the deepening track and go, than learn my middle switch.

I started at 24 weeks and took two weeks for each class (using the homestudy). I have mostly done it every day - there have been times when things have 'happened' and then I've either skipped a day or doubled up the next day. I'm just starting my 3rd week of maintenance now.

I started around week 24 and gave some time to practice. I did every day and I play my affirmations all the time. I had an amazing birthing time. I'm pregnant again and I can't wait to start!

I love Hypnobabies!

I started at 30 weeks and just redid (is that a word?) weeks 2 and 3 and will start on week four next week (I am 34w 5d). I just can't seem to stay awake during the cds at all, no matter how hard I try. They say that is ok. I listened to week 2 tracks while getting a massage last week and I actually heard most of them. I try to practice every day but have a hard time fitting in 5 fingerdrops. I usually get about 2 or 3 but again, I tend to fall asleep during the off switch too so I just have to tell myself that if I fall asleep my switch will automatically turn on because when I wake up I move and then remember ooops I am supposed to be in off. I have read that all of this is fine and that it will work anyway. Anyone else having this problem?

jenn - I fell asleep to my scripts last time and plan to again. I put the scripts on my mp3 player and set them up to play once and then shut off. It still works great. I just made sure to listen to the tracks at least one time while I was awake while I was doing something else. It's amazing how familiar it is even though you've never heard it while conscious.

I think I started around 26 weeks. Worked out well for me as I had a couple weeks for some of it. I did do it every day. It was great, I never needed a nap. I did doze sometimes but even if I didn't, I was so rested after finishing. And the affirmations I did daily too. Loved those.

I started the homestudy course at 25 weeks and spent at least two weeks on each lesson. I had my daughter on Monday -- very short labor, transition at home/in car, baby arrived 15 minutes after we got to the hospital. The doctor did not make it in time. The baby was posterior and I delivered her with one push, maybe 2.

Hypnobabies definitely helped me during my birthing time. It went so quickly that I didn't get to use all my tools, but what I needed to use was there.

Can I just that I'm jealous of everyone? I'd love to hypnobabies. I'd probably start around 25 weeks, just to have lots of time in case life got in the way at all.
