I suspected someone on that show (or behind the scenes) was a lactivist...now I'm sure of it. I just watched an episode with the longest, most positive (and matter-of-fact) NIP I've ever seen on-screen. It's when Alan is briefly "dating" Berta's daughter Naomi, who has a baby.

Loved loved loved it. Yay!

And with all the babies/kids/family stuff on that show, it has never once mentioned bottles or formula.

Charlie Sheen in your lactivist, but in a mucho bizarro way IMHO. During their divorce, he accused his STBX of child abuse and said that she was going to make their child stupid by weaning too early.

there's an episode where charlie sheen's character sings a song "I drink from a sippy cup b/c i'm a big kid now. Bye Bye boobies b/c I'm a big kid now." and another verse of "I love boobies, b/c I'm a big kid now"

the writer also wrote dharma and greg. I remember one episode where there was a pregnant woman in labor and greg was like, "we need to get her to a hospital" and dharma said, "why, she's not sick" and then greg said, "yeah, but most women give birth in hospitals" and dharma said, "I know, that's a shame" and then dharma's mother came in and said she was a midwife and she and greg had the same conversation all over again...

i remember reading that, too. i believe he's also a family bed dad, too.

Charlie's ex also tried to get custody by saying that Charlie was crazy because he thought that vaccine's were poisoning his children. So he seems pretty crunchy to me.

Ah, I just remember Denise Richards saying that she weaned because she wanted to be able to "drink again." :

But that's another topic.

I do think it's great to see these things presented as normal. In the episode of Friends where Rachel's baby was born, Joey made some comment about going into the wrong room and seeing a woman nursing twins and he mooed or something of the sort.

On 2 1/2 men, doesn't he admit he is obsessed by breasts because he wasn't breastfed??

And there's the episode where he is trying to get back with his girlfriend(actually played by denise richards)and she is a nursing mom.
It is a great show, very funny!
