PSA: Postpartum mamas should not watch certain TV shows

Y'all have probably figured this out, but I am learning that I ought not to watch:
  • Planet Earth--too many baby animals and predators
  • the episode of Little People Big World about the Iraqi children

I'm sure the list will get longer!

I'd add A Baby Story to that too. I get too mad when they want to induce those women before or right at their due date for fear of a big baby, then it ends in a c/sec with a 6-7lber. It was even worse watching it while I was still pregnant, though.

Yeah can someone nominate me? I have no idea what to wear now that I'm no longer working full time and my body is totally different. I don't want to be a slob, but I obviously don't need to wear suits anymore either.

The season opener of Grey's Anatomy was really rough but I just can't look away!

Right now commercials are getting to me: those horrible rescued animal ones and ones about sponsoring children.

We should do the Sept Due Date Club! I would love a new wardrobe, haircut, and makeover! I've been feeling very frumpy lately!

I avoid violent shows. I can't tolerate violence anymore - it makes me crazy. I couldn't before pregnancy but now, I just can't handle. So I just watch Merchant Ivory films and play Mozart all day.

A friend of mine used to LOVE Law & Order and all those crime drama shows, but after having her baby she couldn't get through an episode without bawling and had to stop watching them completely.

No way, me too! I keep watching it and then when I go to try on clothes... I cry. My hips are still huge and there's no chance of me fitting into any pants.

I just recently got addicted to the series 24 at the end of my pregnancy. Now I can't stop watching it. For some reason it just doesn't bother me. Plus, Keifer Sutherland is kinda hot...

Yup! It kills me.

Adding on ER: watched an episode with two characters doing a rotation in the NICU. Yeah I should have turned it off right there!

That new show Fringe is really good....so is Kitchen Nightmares. Can't wait until my Lost comes back on though!

On the other hand - the beginning of the Office tonight took on a whole new meaning after having a baby! Josh has never laughed so hard in his life!
