Have you counted how many calories a day you are eating and how many you are expending? It needs to balance, you know? I think a lot of people eat way more than they realize.
I second the posters who say to axe the supplements and start exercising. Weight lifting a few days a week can really help redistribute the weight and add tone, and you can do a great program at home with a couple barbells. Aerobic exercise can be as simple as fast walking, using hills. Intervals will really burn the fat (e.g., walk 3 minutes, run 1 minute, walk 3 minutes etc).

hehe well I have 16oz of water in the am then I have my herbalife 90cal with 8oz of water....Then lunch with another 16oz of water then another shake made with water.......For my afernoon shack I have a 180 cal protein bar.........Then for dinner I will have some roast with stemed veggies and after dinner I sip on peppermint tea........


Most Ams I exercise to Taebo or Yoga booty ballet and if I am feeling it I will take a Leslie sansone 1 mile walk in the pm

So you're eating like 1000-1200 calories a day, and no fat.

Your body thinks it's starving, and is going to hang onto any fat it can. You're not getting enough protein to build muscle mass from the exercise you do. Also, you probably feel pretty awful.

Start with the roast and veggies for breakfast (and sautee them in a little olive oil), eat some more of it for lunch, have some nuts for a snack. More protein/fat/vegetables for dinner. Try eggs. Eggs are good.

You need more calories, period, and you need more protein (real protein, not corn bran or soy protein isolate or whatever's in the shakes) and more fat. Good, natural fat. Olive oil, butter, etc.

If you've been doing this and you haven't lost weight, this should tell you that more of the same isn't going to work. And dude, seriously. Herbalife is BAD STUFF. The multivitamin is okay, but the shakes are industrial crap, and the Total Control or whatever it is is just a bunch of caffeine (since they took the ephedra out, right?).



(By the way, I've been eating more or less low carb for eight years. It's totally doable.)

You need to eat more and yes you need to eat fat, our bodies/brains need fat. That kind of starvation diet only 'works' if youn can keep it up (and most can't) but it's so unhealthy you shouldn't. Shakes and fake foods sold to help you lose weight are not only a scam but so unhealthy. Someone is making a ton of money off of our insecurties and desire to fit an ideal.

It's okay to eat and eat well (with fat). I know it's hard to get over the no-fat /low-cal frame of mind but it's really unhealthy and leads to weight gain in the end.

Eat real whole foods and exercise and you'll probably lose weight although it might be slow. But more importantly you will be regaining your health which is so much more important than how much you weigh.
