Our local family resource centre attached to a food bank takes opened packs

It's good to know I can still give them away if the package is open! Thanks for the ideas on where to donate them. I never thought of using them as ice packs, so I may save a few for that.

I don't know anyone with very young kids, so I really need to find other ways to pass things on. I keep wishing a free for shipping forum would open up here, but I will look into the HH thread.

I have had that happen ( I cloth but keep sposies on hand) where I have an opened bag and outgrow them. Since I CD, I sometimes take several weeks to go thru the sposies and when I need one, she outgrows them. I passed them to the nursery at our church. They took them with big open arms. Or I have also passed to another mom who has a younger baby.

Our church also has a changing table in the main ladies restroom. There are always disposable diapers there, and I'm sure that it's because of donations.

You can still donate them to a shelter, even if they are opened.

I had no problem getting rid of opened packages of diapers on Freecycle.
