I know I have been gone for several days and likely will be for several more. However, I wanted to share this with you all.

Our baby boy, Gideon Elliott Stuart was born at 11:23 am on Sunday, October 12, 2008. He was born at home. He was born not breathing and with a very slow heartbeat. He was transferred to the hospital where he spent time in the NICU. Because of the oxygen deprivation to his organs and brain, he did not survive. He passed at about 7:00 pm on Monday, October 13, 2008. He was the most perfect, wonderful, amazing baby boy I have ever seen.

Congratulations to all of you mamas who have you babies in your arms, and good luck to all of you who it is getting close for. You remain in my thoughts and prayers, even though I am not here to share in your joy. I do hope to come back and catch up a bit later, it is simply too difficult for me to face right now.

Tears flow freely down my cheeks as I read about your loss. I pray you will receive the comfort and peace you are no doubt seeking. I may not know you, but I love you as another mother. May God bless your family at this difficult time.

I am from Nov DDC, but want to tell you that I do not have adequate words to describe the sympathy and empathy I have for you and your family. I wish you serenity and courage, please know that you, your DH, and dear Gideon will be in my thoughts.

I am so sorry. I wish I had words to comfort you. I said this to the other mama who lost her baby, but I'll say it again - thank you for sharing your story. I am glad to know about your son even though I am so sorry that he is no longer with you. I hope you can find peace.

I am so sorry for your loss. I never know what to say in situations like these, don't want to say the wrong thing, but don't want to not say enough. So I'll be thinking of you and your sweet boy.
