Hubby's sick

My husband is coming down with a head cold thanks to a coworker of his. Our LO is just over 3 weeks old. Hubby called the ped's office who advised him to limit exposing the baby to his cold. So now I guess I have to do everything all of the time. At least before he'd change diapers while home. Now I get no help?

Is that advice from the ped really weird or is that just wishful thinking on my part?

Sounds like what the pedi told me about people with colds too. Yeah... unfortunately he won't be able to help out much for now. Sorry!

Eh, I say it's ok. DH had strep when DD was 2 weeks old. I still made him change diapers- just no kissing. He also didn't sleep in the family bed with us and we did lots of hand washing. But changing diapers is fine, IMO.
Plus if you're nursing, your LO is getting lots of antibodies from you- so she's got a little extra protection.

Hubby got a surgical mask from his doctor and is wearing it when he goes near Blake. So he's helping in a very limited capacity. Hubby was off from work yesterday but the baby and I spent a good part of the day out participating in a walk for breastfeeding awareness. It was nice for me because I probably would have been annoyed with hubby all day otherwise.
