Comment from the Tyra show today..

I was watching Tyra-One of the sisters was jealous over the other for having a son. Then it came out that the sister who did not have a child was probably not able to have one so I stopped to listen. She *said* that her DH was in the military and him along with his group received a bunch of "shots" and none of the men from that group have been able to produce a child. I wonder what vax it could have been or perhaps no one will know because it's not out to the public yet?

Any little hints like that will start people to pay attention to the issue.

First hint, people just pass it off as nonsense. Second time around they take notice. Third time and they do give it more consideration. Of course some people will always disregard the information.

But that was good.

Vaccinations are a way of life in the U.S. Military. All new recruits (both officer and enlisted) are vaccinated against various diseases during enlisted basic training or during officer accession training.

I know several military people who really got messed up by the anthrax one they were giving out a while back. Beyond that just all of the shots they require is extream as you can see in the link above in the post left by nicoliani.

US military don't allow any exemption for vaccines, specially bad for those that are vaccine free since birth.

my understanding (from having researched it as my husband is USAF) is that there IS an exemption for active duty members, but it HAS to be taken BEFORE joining the military. I will see if I can find my info about it.

I have heard this before too but not sure what the source is. My sister's husband is in the military and it's too bad he didn't know this before hand because now he has to get whatever they want him to. My sister had a miscarriage in the spring so I wonder if it could have been related to a vax but I don't know if we'll ever know. She's pregnant now with her first though.

Measles Mumps and rubella (MMR) are administered to all recruits regardless of prior history.
So... if you've actually HAD them, and therefore have lifetime immunity, you still have to get the shots???

Unless the military reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally wants them for some reason, they probably would not be accepted into the military. Not being vaccinated severely restricts where they can be stationed or deployed. You can do the (religious) exception when you are already in but it is extremely difficult.

My brother who had only had a small amount of shots at age five got a lot when he joined and he was quite sick after that. They even asked him he wanted to sign up for some that were being tested but he refused to do that. He took only what he was absolutely required which was unfortunately a lot. He said others signed up but he was not going to be a test dummy for them. As far as I know they haven't tried to start a family yet so I don't know if there are any ill effects or not. And who's to say they didn't sneak shots in with all the standard shots without telling him.

My husband is in the AF and lately he has been coming home almost every two weeks saying he had to get another shot...he doesn't really have the option in saying no to the shots. Its sad really...

It is very sad. And the anthrax vaccine was never went to a clinical trial before it was signed into law (Clinton) for all soldiers. What a shame.

This video is very sad: http://www.gifilmfestival.com/2008/0...alltoarms.html
