And I thought homebirth was okay in MN

A local couple nearly had their child taken from them following its birth at home.

Here's the article: http://www.twincities.com/mld/twinci...al/7258496.htm

I always thought that Minnesota had a really good climate for homebirthing (political/social climate, not weather), but now I'm doubting that.

It's just disgusting.

I saw that too, Jessikate. Yikes. I'm wondering if they were UA or not. Either way, calling a lactation consultant and then having to deal with that would be HORRIBLE. My usually passive dh and I were talking about it and he said that if anyone tries to take our baby away, he's going to start punching people.

YIKES!

One more reason to just call LLL first

She must have gotten ahold of the wrong person. Or perhaps they saw a week area and lunged. In thier minds feeding problems obviously were there because of the homebirth and if they had been in the hospital we could have caught this and kept that baby here.

The medical establishment really needs to get a grip.

Holy Cow!!! Now that really suprises me!

I thought this area was relatively open to this kind of thing. I just don't get it. I'll raise all sorts of hell is somebody tried to do that to me and my family!

Hmmm...
