I grew up in GJ when it was a very conservative place. A friend who has now lived there for a couple of years has ensured me that it's becoming a bit more progressive and that there are some crunchy families in the area. It seems as though we will be moving back to the valley at the end of Dec-end of Jan and I'd love to meet up with some other crunchy, alternative families. We have a ds that will be 5 next month and a ds who will be 2.5 next month. We are homeschooing with OakMeadow, love aspects of Waldorf, have not vax'd, support local growers, and are beginning to feel a strong need for more cohesive communities.
I'd like to find some homeschooing groups who don't affiliate themselves with any particular religion for play dates, field trips and friendship as well as families to hang out with. Is there anyone interested in doing that or has someone already put something together that we can join in on? Please let me know as I'm a bit nervous about moving back to GJ since I just remember how it used to be over a decade ago.
