My inlaws and the flu vaccine...

My inlaws know that we don't vax our twins. Both use to get the flu shot every year until I sent them TONS of info regarding it and last year was the first year they didn't get the flu shot and also the first year that neither got sick. My FIL was dx with prostate cancer a few months ago and will be starting radiation just before Thanksgiving. My MIL is saying that their doctor is recommending that they both get their flu shot, as well as all family members that will be around him during his treatment and especially the "unvaxed kids" I told my MIL no way are any of us getting a flu shot and honestly they shouldn't either. I told her to start giving him tons of Vit C to boost his immune system and we all are taking it now to help as well. I told her that when they get the flu shot they can not come around the twins for 2 weeks afterwards (I don't want to deal with a cold if I don't have to and they will both get sick if history repeats itself)

I'm so annoyed that they are letting this doctor fear mongel them into getting this stupid shot and making it sound like my kids are disease carriers. : I'm hoping that she thinks about this, goes back and reads all the information I have given her and changes her mind but I doubt. My SIL and her fiance' are also very "nature" type people and I know they won't get one either....

I totally agree with you on the flu shot thing but here is something about vit c and cancer that you might want to take a look at, if the link doesn't work just go to the NYT homepage and search for "Vitamin C May Interfere With Cancer Treatment":
