39 weeks tomorrow! I keep telling him that he can come any time after Sunday, because I will FINALLY be done working and with my roller derby stuff. I swear these last few weeks feel longer than the entire pregnancy! I haven't gotten any real ctx yet, just lots of menstrual crampiness with no dilation.

I'm happy my dr hasn't suggested induction since I have "a touch of diabetes" as he says, and the baby is over 8 lbs already. The longer the wait, the bigger he gets though, which makes me nervous.

I am 38 weeks today and so far feeling like labour will be a while off. My two other DD were born 40w 2d and 40w 1d so I just assume that this one will be in for a bit yet. Still feeling good and my mood is good so let's hope it keeps up for a while. I am hoping to at least get through this weekend before babe arrives but I am sure I would get over it quickly if things were to happen differently!

unfortunately this isnt the case for me. baby has been engaged for weeks and is in a perfect position. its almost more annoying knowing he's perfectly aligned! lol!

ME! I'm still here. I am only 38+4 so I'm not expecting anything anytime soon. I'm just getting ready to go crazy with everyone asking when the baby is coming.

Dhs mom asked if they've said anything about "dates" at my last appointment. Um, yeah, whenever he decides to show. Which could be a while, so don't bug me about it! LOL.

DH has been telling the baby to stay in until next Tuesday so he can get his negotiation done for one of his MBA classes. Finally yesterday when I was feeling miserable he said told the baby that he can come whenever he's ready. (Although DH is still secretly hoping that's after Monday night. LOL.)

I've lost some mucus plug and last night Dh and I DTD and I was crampy all night long, but nothing since this morning. *SIGH* its going to be harder to wait than I thought.

I really feel for you moms who are overdue and I'm scared because that could easily turn out to be me!

Fall greetings everyone. I'm stepping in to say hi and hold the hands of those in the big circle of waiting for our babies. I'm 40w3d, and though I've been telling myself "the baby will come when it's ready," now that it's after my due date, the thought is turning into, "whoo-hoo little one. where are you? when are you coming out to meet us?"

De-lurking. I am 38+5 and am ready to have this baby. I went to the MW yesterday, and she told me a watched pot never boils so I should just chill out. I decided to start making more plans with friends to help pass time. i was hesitant to make them because I didn't want to cancel. I decided it is better to stay busy and possibly cancel than sit at home and wish for contractions.

The acupuncturist told me today to plan on voting Nov. 4 since most 1st babies are late. She's a doula, too, but it didn't help much. But I am taking the pressure off since she isn't officially due until the 26th and starting to realize she might come in November.

And yes, I am getting the frequent call of "is she here yet?" "do you have a baby yet?" Like we wouldn't call my family! At least I'm not the only impatient one.

Good luck to all the mamas past their DD! I hope the contractions start today!!

Well, the cramps and backache and BH ctx had gone but now I have some cramps back. I am trying to do a ton of housework to see if I can get this to go anywhere. I have also started having the runs today. Normally I have a BM every day or so but yesterday I had 3 and today I have had 3 already....now they are going super soft. I really hope all this means something LOL.

Same here. I had the same due date, so I'm with you. The "she'll come when she's ready" is getting old to hear and I am soooo ready to go.

PW I wish you all the luck in the world!! I'm having my 42 week scan tomorrow to see if my baby will turn into a pumpkin (still born). But I'm getting loads of movement so I'm not too worried but I too have slowly been going crazy. I just keep thinking there is something I'm doing "wrong". My first went 10 days past due but was only 7lbs 5oz when she was extracted via c/s so maybe mine just need longer to "cook". I'm pretty sure I'm gonna consent to a sweep tomorrow - I just can't take being pg much longer.

I realized this morning that by my 18 week u/s measurements that this should be 40 weeks today. I hadn't really ever thought of this as my due date, although it was the first one I went with. So, by one estimate, this is my EDD. By another, I have 4 days left. By the third, I have 6. Hummm. I am suffering a backache right now, and am going to visit spinningbabies to see about back labor and positioning. I have a soccer game to go to tonight, so it's going to be a long game if this is truly back labor beginning. Or even just a hoax.

This is Sarah's Step daughter, and I am happy to report that Sarah has gone into labor. The baby is almost out!! She is still regularly moaning and groaning from contractions, but things are looking really good.

Thankyou, that means a lot to me. It was a difficult decision but I found various CS threads in the Birth section which have been really helpful. Funny thing was I have been annoyed earlier in the pg that the Drs insist on using their due date "because scans are very accurate nowadays", regardless of the fact that it's physically impossible for me to have that EDD. And now I'm very grateful that they've got it wrong so I don't have any pressure to have her earlier than I'd like.

Yesterday was my 41 week midwife appointment and she said after checking me (no sweep which I am okay with) that she thinks I am going to be a 42 weeker. I had made a bit of progress going from 1cm to 2 but she just has that feeling. Funny thing. I do to and amazingly since yesterday I am okay with it. How long can 1 more week be anyways? I was totally not this way a bit ago but this resurgance of patience is so wonderful. I really really needed it.

The midwife seems to think the baby isn't applying it's head well to my cervix becasue my cervix is still very posterior and hard to reach. She had to push on the baby's but to get it's head to push the cervix down. Is that strange or what? I am going to work on positoning more like hands and knees etc and walk more to see if that helps. The baby's head is engaged but apparently not enough. She said about a -3 station. What do you guys think?

Now if I can help my family be patient! Both sides are going bonkers. Next pregnancy seriously I am going to state 42 weeks as my "due date". That is the only way to keep things sane it seems.

I totally feel for everyone who is going over though--it can be soo hard! I hope we all get the patience we need to wait things out. Birth will go so well when we wait till our bodies are ready.

YAY for labor beginning on the EDD! I knew my labor vibes would help someone. Thinking of you Sarah! I know you're doing beautifully. I can't wait to hear the update!

Still pregnant!
Does anyone know if there is a difference between menstrual crampiness/slight backache and BH ctrx?
Are the menstrual cramp like feelings also BH? It seemed to me that BH made my entire uterus tighten, but the crampiness is really just low down.
Also, it seems like any time I walk anywhere I get BH.

Anyone else feeling that way?
