I didn't know where to post this...

I am college educated with a BA in English and magazine writing and editing experience. I can speak Spanish. Type quickly.

My husband was crying this morning. He feels so overwhelmed by being the only wage earner. I need a stay at home JOB. I don't want him to feel like this. Even if I could pull in another 100-150 dollars a week i think it would make him feel better.

If i type in work at home on the internet a billion sites come up. Does anyone know of any legit ones? Ones that will play to my strong suits?

please help! i've never done this before and i really want to be able to stay home with my child! i had no idea dh was this stressed out!!

In home day care?

There are a lot of mamas in the Mothers Writing Group forum that do freelance writing for print and/or web content. There are some good threads there with good tips about how to get started. If you already have magazine writing experience, that may be a good place to start. You could also check out the chacha threads in this forum. Chacha is legit, but the pay is low. It sounds like you don't need a whole lot of cash, so you could try that.

I'm not sure how close you are to a major city, but maybe put out your Spanish speaking skills to businesses that want to broaden their market? Maybe translate brochures, articles, create your own newsletter.... These are suggestions...maybe it'll start you thinking of possibilities.

yeah...the spanish is partially an asset and partially not. we live in a rural city...there are plenty of spanish migrant workers who need help navigating life and the city here, but there are also plenty of second generation spanish speaking americans who can do that as well.

i was thinking of the in home daycare...it's not in my "skilll set" per se but maybe the fact that i am college educated and can speak spanish will help me out with that.
i've been looking and it's really the only thing that interests me that i can do from home.
here's a question...do i put in my ad that i am an AP parent and caregiver?

I think, if you're going to do in-home care, you should think about if you're going to take in every age, younger ages, etc...yes, put in the ad things that matter to you and that could be a drawing point for you.

How about tutoring in spanish/english. I don't know if you have any colleges around, but students usually need help with their languages classes.

Can you proofread in spanish? That's an option too.

How about this site
http://www.tutor.com/subjects

In the mean time, can you sew or are you crafty. How about making customes for halloween. I'm sure there are lots of website who tell you how to do easy cheap ones.

Here is a link for fairy wings. http://hubpages.com/hub/fairywings

I know is not a lot of money, but at least you dh will notice you are actively trying to do something.
