I'm so happy to announce the arrival of the newest member of our family! Madeline Jeanne arrived at 6:53AM on 10/15/2008, after 8 hours of labor and 7 minutes of pushing (yes, SEVEN!). She is just perfect, albeit a little jaundiced. We were released from the hospital just before noon, so a little over 24 hours spent there. The hospital was pretty good and really listened to our wishes. We're having a little bit of trouble with nursing, but the LCs at the hospital are wonderful and I already have an appointment with them tomorrow to continue our care. Mady's bilirubin needs to be tested tomorrow too, so hopefull we'll get that all done in one swoop.
The only bump in the road we've encountered is when calling our chosen ped to let her know of the birth, we found out she changed practices, so I'm a bit in the lurch. Luckily my doctor is family practice, so I'll probably take Mady to her until we find a ped closer to home.
