when to panic?

I haven't really felt the baby move all day. I mean, maybe he has a little, but I can't remember. Last night I felt hiccups. I don't know....

***I just drank 2 glasses of ice water and a few cookies, hopefully I will feel something soon or I will call the midwife. I always hate to bother anyone at night, but I guess that is what they are there for...***

***Sorry for worrying everyone. I drank a TON of water and laid down and sure enough about 30 mins later I felt some hiccpus and a little movement. Throughout the night I felt a little more. I feel better. I wonder why he has done from a gymnast to barely stretching though...

Thanks for the support ladies!!!!***

Have you tried the usual suggestions, like eat something & drink something cold & with sugar, like juice with ice? Then lie down for a little bit and see if that gets the baby moving again? I'd try that before I would worry....if that didn't work then I'd probably call my doc/mw just to be sure.

If you feel something is not right, call your midwife or Dr.
All day is a long time not to feel a baby. I would try cold fruit juice and nudging the baby to get him or her to move to reassure myself.

Put your cell phone on vibrate and buzz your belly or try a Coke. The latter isn't very natural, but nothing gets them dancin' like caffiene.

I agree with pp, if you are worried call the mw/ob. Thats what they are there for.

I've been into labor and delivery twice for monitering when I was worried. Nobody was bothered or upset. Just call, you'll feel better!

I hope everything is OK.

Glad to hear that baby seems to be ok! If the movement change continues, you still could get checked out. Take care of yourself!

I'm glad everything is okay! I've heard around the grape vine that when baby slows down toward the end it can be a sign of labor getting ready to start. The baby is trying to conserve energy for it's big entrance. I might still go have a quick check though. GL to you!

My babe has slowed down a bit too...there's just less room in there towards the end. But then just when I start to get worried I get a poke in the ribs, or a big "butt swing" as I call them. You know, the big sweeping side to side thing that makes you go "Ungh!"

Ice water can also be good for inducing a bit of squirming.
