Night time protection for 7 year old

Good morning everyone, I posted awhile back regarding my 7 year old daughters night time bedwetting issue and I have not been problems with my computer and I am finally able to connect. My question for you all is what is the best protection other then the pull up/goodnites? They just dont work with her and I really dont want to keep spending money on something that doesnt even work. I beleive I mentioned before that she is approx 35-40 llbs if that with her clothes on! She is tall but very skinny because of a hogh metabolism and the fact that she is a tom boy and burns everything off running around everywhere. Her pedi is not concerned about her weight nor her night time problem. Nothing medically wrong thankfully. The 1 main problem I have here is the constant washing of her sheets and finding her on the couch in the morning STILL in her soaking wet, pee soaked pj's watching tv without a care in the world. I have been told my friends to ignore it and leave it up to her to clean up the mess but, having to scrub the couch at least once a week I cannot ignore. I have her mattress protected but I do not want to have to put plastic on the couch as well! I shouldnt have to. I dont want to get started on the smell either. As all of you know that has dealt or is still dealing with this, the odor can get unbearable at times! OK I am sorry I started to vent there a little bit and got off track. I have seen alot of moms here that cloth diaper and I am not that familiar with cloth so if you advise cloth, please use lingo I can understand. Explain it to me like I was a 2 year old! LOL At this point, I am willing to try anything other then a pull up style because from past experience with any type of pull ups, they just dont work with her. Thank you everyone in advance for all your help and I am looking forward to hearing back from you soon. Have a wonderful day everyone!

Some other people will have to help with the "pull ups" part. But to help with the constant washing of sheets, I have one suggestion: your mattress is protected and then the sheets are on--after that, I have laid a flat crib mattress protector or a flat (not fitted) twin mattress protector across the top so that it hangs over the edges. At target, these are soft on one side and vinyl on the other. You are still washing, but for me it was easier to throw this smaller item in, rather than wash all the bedding. And, for what its worth, maybe just drop the whole pull up thing altogeter. It may become bothersome for your dd if she is getting more than just kinda wet.

As far as the couch goes. . . is it possible to simply not let her watch tv in jammies--to require her to change first. I am assuming that she is getting up earlier than you, but still, she is seven. Maybe put a note on the front of the tv reminding her. OR, cover the couch with another mattress protector right before you go to bed so that it is covered for the early morning. Take it off and fold it up when you get dd dressed. I wouldn't wash that one every time.

Good luck, I am sure this must be hard.
