BTW, thanks for this! It can get so overwhelming trying to "do it all" can't it!?!?!

It's good to laugh about it!

-When you obsess on the diaper washing schedule so that you have the pocket diapers stuffed and ready in time to take to daycare.

-When you thought DH was picking up DS and you and your DP both arrive home, sans kid. :

When you learn to put clothes on your LO backwards as they attempt the daily simulated "death roll" of a gator. I've gotten good at doing pants, socks and shoes. But if I could just put a diaper on as he rolls onto his belly on the changing table and tries to crawl away, I'd be SET!
: I have sooo been there! Now that DS is mobile and running, he wants me to chase him every morning to get his jacket and hat on.

This happens to me at least once a week.

When your kids refuse to eat dinner ("eeew, what's this??? yuck!"), they find a bag of chips and you shrug and let them at it. The whole bag. And then give them an apple afterwards to make yourself feel better.

I once sat through two client sessions with spit up on my shoulder. I didn't even realize it until lunch time.

Your LO went to bed at 10pm and you KNOW you should go to bed too but you spend an hour an MDC to get some me time.
Or you are up until midnight because the only time you can watch your favorite TV shows is after 9pm and with TIVO.

I thought I was the only one!!!

My contribution: When you can carry 4 bags and a baby all at the same time.

When you leave the house rechecking to make sure you have everything and then realize that you left the poor dog sitting outside waiting to be let in.

When a co-worker starts looking at you strangely because you are singing nursery rhymes to yourself at your desk.

Oh god yes. I'm on 'reading week' right now.

Hah.

That means 'home all week with baby, while doing work anyways'.

And a couple bags of groceries, fumble to find the key, then unlock the back door.

AND, on this note...have you ever seen your DH bring in all that at one time??? My DH will bring in DD first, then come and ask me to help bring in the rest. Men.

I'm still trying to master these, although I'm substituting an infant for a toddler.
