They should rename "Medical News Today" to pharmaprop.com and get it over with. Totally shameless.

Anyone else remember reading this?
I'm sure I remember reading that also, that not that long ago pregnancy was contraindicated for the flu vaccine! I bet if you could find some older flu vaccine inserts it would be in there. I don't have anything bookmarked, but this may help:

“Mercury in all of its forms is toxic to the fetus and children, and efforts should be made to reduce exposure to the extent possible to pregnant women and children as well as the general population.”

How exactly do you know for sure there were no bad side effects? What about things that can't be seen?

Actually the pediatrician did not say Columbia, my neighbor did. For some reason I just trusted her information because she has been down there so much. Should have done more homework. Thanks for straightening me up! Interestingly enough, she is pharmaceutical rep. I'll make sure to straighten her up, too!

Still wouldn't advice putting anything into your body that is even a question...

But I did find this, and since it is flu season, I thought it was worth putting here...

Vit. D...
look up vit. D, and the flu

FYI - Fluzone and Afluria safety not established...

These two quotes are from fda.gov about the two mercury-free vaccines, Fluzone and Afluria.

Did you ever check to see what they replaced the mercury with? Perhaps you should study this out before assuming that the ingredient is safe just a thought!

Pretty sick and narrow minded view that all the parents who have experienced this are just quacks.... ! I believed in vaccinations completely and thought the same thing you do, until vaccination reactions happened to my child. Its then that I realized that ignorance happens in the medical field and reactions of children don't mean a thing compared to belief in vacc.!

How on earth did you get out of the flu shot?? I wasn't even anti-vax back then but I knew I did not want the flu shot. I avoided it as long as possible but was finally commanded to and told that if I didn't do it I would be court martialled so I went and got my flu shot, full of mercury, at 4 mos prego

I'll have to remember that when I'm changing my 10-year-old's diapers.
