Craving Tumeric... need simple ideas!

I've been craving tumeric like crazy lately, knowing full well it's b/c I'm nursing a bad running injury that most likely includes a lot of inflammation. But I'm not good at complex cooking and have no idea how to cook simple Indian dishes. Can I just sprinkle tumeric powder on my steamed veggies? Any other easy ideas? :

You can also sprinkle it into soups, grain dishes, etc.

I add cumin to almost everything when I'm craving it. I don't see why you couldn't do the same with tumeric.

I used to add it to my rice all the time (even if I wasn't serving it with Indian food). I'm sure other grains would be good, too.

Another idea is to fill empty capsules with it. I do that with spices or herbs when I want more in my body than I can get into my food.

I used to drink warm milk/ soymilk/ ricemilk with tumeric in it. Kind of weird but I like it!

I grew up eating cubes of tofu that had been cooked at high heat with olive oil, granulated garlic, and LOTS of turmeric. Oh, then salted liberally. Very simple and tasty
I'm still learning how to cook meat, so I dunno just how that would work,
but I'm getting the impression that chicken can be a good substitute for tofu.

If you like cabbage and curries...curried cabbage with tumeric is delicious.

For about 1/2 head of shredded cabbage (I like savoy for this) thinly slice 1 small onion. Saute onion in 2 TBLSP ghee, butter or coconut oil (I prefer ghee). Add appx 1-2 tsp of tumeric to taste, 1/4 tsp freshly ground cumin and 1/4 tsp freshly ground red pepper flakes (I use a mortar and pestle for last 2 ingredients). Saute spices in the onions for a few minutes and add cabbage. Saute all for 5 minutes or so until desired crunchiness. I usually season with additional butter and salt and pepper.

Mmmm I could go for some now since I haven't eaten any veggies yet today .
