Why do my covers all leak?

All my PUL covers with inner and/or outer layer suddenly start to leak. The store bought ones as well as the few I tried to sew myself.
If I can't figure out what's going on I'll give up on cloth diapers soon!! Please help!

How do you wash the covers?

PUL needs to go through the dryer occasionally to re-melt hte plasticy layer and seal up microscopic holes from the stitching and stuff.

Also, no cover will be adequate if the diaper is completely saturated and the baby is sitting down or otherwise putting pressure against the diaper. Make sure the diapers are absorbant enough for your baby- is it time to go up a size? Do the diapers have a detergent buildup affecting absorbancy? Do you need to change more frquently?

I soak them in cold water with baking soda.
then hot wash with arms&hammer (the one without dye or perfume..) and then rinse twice, the last rinse with vinegar.
I use the dryer mostly now, and since it's such a cheap thing I can't choose temperature, it's always hot..

And by leaking i don't mean around the waist or the legs, but the outer fabric is completely wet.
With the thirsties covers I use it doesn't happen at all?!
