Over on the Twlight thread we started having a little side discussion on the Gemma Doyle trilogy by Libba Bray. I thought the books deserved their own thread...
Yup! I just finished number 3 and I have to say it has taken me a while to get over the ending.
But I loved that bit about Felicity! *wink wink*
Such great books! I bought the first one but got the last 2 from the library but I am going to buy them. I have 3 daughters and these are the type if books I'd like them to read. Well, I'd like them to read whatever they could get their hands on but I want them to see such strong female leads even in YA fiction and fantasy to boot.

Oh, I love love love Libba Bray's books! I think most MDC avid readers would get a kick out of the Realms and Libba's Victorian feminism. They were SO readable and did some amazing twists... I kept thinking I had the books pegged and then they'd do something new. I gobbled each one up!

In fact, I have to stop myself from rereading this trilogy because I think Bray and I are on the same page so much, I don't want to be over-influenced by her work as I write!
