Testing for maternal Hep B

I have a friend due in 3-4 weeks and her OBG is recommending Hep B for the newborn as my friend COULD have Hep B (no real reason - but you gotta cover all your bases).
I recommended she be tested for Hep B, but she says she will not trust the results as she could get a false negative. Anyone with links to Hep B tests and how to get the best results?
