Another visit i didnt think i would be even going to ended up in talking about an induction which i was trying to avoid. I knew my body would take well to it so i agreed but it wasnt a straight up pit induction. That was Thursday afternoon i was checked only 1-2 cm 70% very posterior cervix. The whole day after that i was having very mild contractions and i kind of knew that i was in early labor. I didnt say anything to dh because i didnt want him to get all excited and then nothing. So 11 pm rolled around we were getting ready for bed not really wanting to just wanting to just go to the Hospita for our induction that was scheduled Friday morning at 5:30 am. I fell asleep and woke up to a painful contraction. So i started timing them and they were about 9 minutes apart. I could not sleep at all. I was tossing and turning. Finally around 3:30 i called my midwife to let her know that i was definitely already in labor. So we headed to the hospital and arrived at 5:30. They put us in a room and the best room they had! We were very happy about that. She checked me and was already a good 3-4 cm. She told me to walk the halls for an hour and we would maybe try to break my water since my contractions were about 5 minutes apart. She had the hardest time breaking my water. She said my bag was made of steel so she was only able to make a little hole. So when we returned we did just that and i got in the shower. By then they were about every 2 minutes. I stayed in the shower for about 30 minutes, i was so tired of standing and wanted to lay down. But i knew things wouldnt progress if i did. My contractions spaced out so we went for another walk, i got on the ball and then we talked about starting me on pitocin. We were joking about how the talk of induction the day before put me in labor. Then as she was preping me for the pit my contractions immediatly picked up to every 2-3 min. My body again was threatened so decided to get on the ball. So i labored for about 1-2 hours hours very painful back labor and man did i feel like i had to poop. So i tried and nothing. lol. Then i got in the bed to be checked and i was 6 cm. An hour later i got back in bed and started telling my midwife im serious i have to poop now. Lots of presure so she checked me and i was complete. They got the table ready and chloe pretty much came on her own. I didnt have to push she just came out. It was really fast. She weighed 6 lbs 14 oz and 19 1/4 in. Very asian looking and lots of hair. She is doing great but i have not been very successful with the breastfeeding. Overall things are wonderful!

Good job mama! It sounds like your body knew just what to do! If you're committed to BF'ing, please contact a lactation consultant or your local LLL leader at the least so you can try to work out the kinks you're having. It will really help. : that you're successful (if BF'ing is what you want). It was a challenge and a bit frustrating at first but Ally Rae and I are really enjoying it now that we've got it figured out.
