ABC News and vaccination

My dad just called to say that ABC News is going to do a bit on vaccination in a little bit. I don't know anything more than that though.

The article states "New Jersey requires the most childhood shots for day-care and school admission among all states in the nation."

Does anyone else find it ironic that the CDC points out that NJ also has the highest autism rate of anywhere else in the country?

My MIL is worried about this too--she kept telling me that "if I vax" to not do more than 1 at a time. I told her I may decide not to vax at all, and if that was the case, would she freak out about it? She said no. She lives in NJ, and keeps telling me about the autism cases in her state.

But she was also surprised because she thinks peds are easy going about non- or s&d vaxing. Hah!

I love Dr. Miller's articles on LRC! He's written several very good ones about vaccines.

I live in NJ and have a newborn son and I think our rate here for autism in boys is like 1 in 60 or something along those lines. It's really scarey. Oh, and isn't it also a coincidence that NJ has the highest number of required vaccines and we happen to house a rediculous number of pharmaceutical companies right here in our state?

Ahh, the page had so many comments with that argument "your unvaccinated kid is going to make my fully vaccinated kid sick!"

I believe NJ has the most pHARMa companies in the US. That is a very forceful lobby. See the politics behind all that?
