I am opening a dayhome and will be part of an accredited dayhome association due to numerous benefits. On the application I have to fill out it asks for the name, gender, and birthdate of my child, and then says "Immunizations up to day? YES NO"
My three-month-old has not had any vaccines. We re currently in the delaying category until such time that I am convinced that they are safe and effective. This may or may not ever happen.
So... its not like she is behind on any vaccines. We are fully up to date on the zero vaccines we have planned on giving her to this point. That would make my answer to the question as YES..... right?
It's not like the question is "Has your child been given all the vaccines on schedule as recommended by the Canadian Pediatric Society?" (or whoever actually publishes that thing). Then my answer would be entirely different.
I am completely comfortable in me decision (although I continue to research) but I just hate confrontation and don't want it to become a big thing. I also live in a province (Alberta) that does not require any vaccines to attend school. And really, if some kid had measles or something I would send them home, whether my child was vaccinated or not.
So... it's not a lie.... right??
