If you or your LO reacts to cinnamon, what are your symptoms?
We've had cinnamon off and on in baked goods for forever. Then, just last night, I made cinnamon & sugar rice cakes for the kiddos and I: rice cake slathered in coconut oil with sugar & cinnamon sprinkled on top. As far as I can recall, they've never had cinnamon directly like that - usually it's baked into muffins or stirred into porridge.
At any rate, DD1 got a red spot on one cheek (I don't think the cinnamon touched there, so I don't think it's contact) and then she had an unholy tantrum after bath. [However, we did just get back from a very unexpected 3 days out of town, including a 4hr drive each way, to go to DH's grandma's funeral, so she could just be out of sorts...]
And, *my* mouth was stinging/tingly in the corners.
Am I looking to borrow trouble here or does this sound like a rxn?
