Good Mornign!

Ever since stumbling on to this board, I have fallen hard for felted food. I search for pieces on Etsy and patterns...and I don't even have CHILDREN!

So now I have my first pattern. ANd the pictures are great, BUT there are no directions as to needle size, type of thread, type of felt or anything.

HELP!

Thank you!

I dont think needle size or thread matters. You can use acrylic felt, wool felt, or old wool sweaters that have been felted. Really, it just takes imagination. Just try one out, and if you dont like the look of it you will learn in the process what you will want to do for next time. Just have fun!

I like to use embroidery needles. I had a pack of about 12 and they vary from around 1 inch to 1.5 inches. The needle is just big enough to thread it with embroidery floss.

I buy embroidery floss from JoAnn Fabrics. They have a whole wall of the regular 6 strand floss in a million colors. Most people seperate that into 3 strand pieces. It is easy to use and super strong.

I buy the cotton perle embroidery floss. I just like it better because you don't have to seperate it. It is right above the regular floss.
