healthy baby Girl!!!
:
Charlotte Olivia was born October 16 at 11:34 pm after being induced due to high blood pressure. The induction started at 5:30 pm and she came out six hours later. After all the complications during the pregnancy, I had no expectations for the labor and delivery so I was very happy with this one, as I have had my completely natural labor and delivery with my son so I know that I can do it.
Charlotte was 7 lbs 3 oz and came out after six minutes of pushing. She did stop breathing and had to be helped for 45 seconds so it lead to her having to go to the NICU for a very short stay. She was only there long enough to be checked over and by the time I was being wheeled to my room, she was discharged and I was able to hold her and breast feed her (which she took to like a champ).
As far as the mass they found at the 18 week u/s, it seems to have caused no problems. We were discharged from the hospital only 16 hours after giving birth and it is so nice to be home with my other two children. We are going in to the hospital for an appointment with pediatric surgery to get some testing done on Charlotte to make sure the mass is gone but we were told that her heart and lungs are perfect so none of the doctors are expecting any problems.
:
We are just so pleased to have our family of five and to be parents to three wonderful children! I'll keep you all updated on the appointments this week.
