My husband, Doug and I are so excited to announce the birth of our son Lars Oskar Olson (Oskar). He was born at home with the help of a team of midwives on 10/17/08 (his due date!!) at 3:35 p.m. after 15 hours of intense labor. He weighed 8 lbs, 3 oz at birth. Despite all the work, he is a mellow little guy and we love him to bits and pieces already. We are all resting well at home.

6 hours of pushing - there was a lot of "I can't do this" and "I'm not strong enough" but when i saw his little head, which presented in such a way that he cork-screwed around as he was coming out, something just went off, and I knew I would get to hold my sweet boy. It was the most intense and beautiful experience of my life!
