Toronto No Vax Support Group

Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone knows of any Toronto area support groups for parents who have decided not to vaccinate or to delay vaccination. I could use some support about now, as I've decided not to vaccinate my child - at least for the first two years. Then I'll revisit the issue.

Why do you feel you need support? Are you getting pressure from your spouse? Parents? Doctor?

I don't know of a support group here in Toronto exactly. We have had remarkably good luck with our doctor being supportive and the school. Even the parenting center teacher didn't vaccinate her kids 20 years ago - the school didn't bat an eye at our waiver. I think some of our friends don't necessarily agree, but they respect our choices.

Are you having trouble with doctors, friends, family, etc? I could be your support group

I lived in Toronto for years and I still work there but I now live in Burlington. My daughter turns 3 next week and we do not vax. I'm happy to lend support anyway I can....

Why I need Support

i'm basically hoping to get some support from like minded individuals. i literally don't know of anyone else in toronto who hasn't vaccinated. my one girlfriend from toronto who didn't vaccinate, now lives in san fran. she suggested i look for a group of no-vax parents in t.o.

basically, i have pressure from my doctor, my parents and my in-laws, and it's nice to check in at time with others to get encouragement that i'm making the right decision.

I am actually in Bradford and was just in the process of putting together such a group because I too am looking to meet up with some mom's who don't think my kid is going to give their kid menengitis LOL

I am going to start a private facebook group called GTA Moms of Unvax'd kids. Maybe we can find some chicken pox parties too! LOL (ok, once my babe is a bit older!)

you search for the group and then request to join it, it's called GTA Parents of non-vax'd kids. OR you can add me as a friend, PM me if you want to do that anyways! LOL
