Good morning, mamas. It sounds like we were all a pretty sleepy, discouraged bunch yesterday. (Good for you, Amber Lion for having had a good night's sleep.)

I've been awake for a while second guessing what I'm feeling in my belly. Dh was really restless too, but I convinced him that I'm not in labor and now he's sleeping peacefully. He had a nice long nap yesterday, along with DD, so I was hoping, with everyone rested up that last night would have been it. I'm going to move us along today and get the car loaded with all of the birthing stuff to take to the MW's (sans the food) and just be done with that uncertainty of how long we'll have to transfer to the car.

My rib is still in a lot of pain, so scrubbing the house and other cleaning activities are still being kept to a minimum here. I can't stand the mess, however. And, I can only ask DH to do so much before he gets cranky. But, I'm slowly chipping away at all of my projects and perhaps that is what is holding this baby's arrival off. If all else fails, and I have it all done, I think I'll try to learn to knit.

Have a good day, mamas. I think the fact that I'm starting this thread at 3:30 PDT is a good sign for the rest of you! Hope you slept well, or are getting some of those great easy labor vibes which have been helping so many in our DDC!

wishing everyone well

here's calla after first bath

With doting Daddy

All's well - we think she's getting her growth spurt already at 8 days - she wants to nurse constantly!!! She was almost at her birth weight already at five days old, so it sounds reasonable.

Take care!

Kelli I hope your rib starts feeling better and you're able to get more done. I know you'll feel more at peace when the vehicle is all loaded and ready to go.

Catherine Calla is so adorable!!!

AAM DH made me time braxton-hicks last night, lol, because I had so many while we were out and about. They were putter-y last night though. I've had a lot this morning but as usual am not expecting much to come of it. I picked out my Boppy yesterday and got some craft supplies for some things I'd like my mom to do with the kids while she's visiting.

Oh I also finished cutting out some paper dolls for the kiddos to play with after the baby comes

Today I'm planning on cleaning the carpet in the kids' room and we're planning to go walking and just enjoy a relaxed day. Hoping to get a nap in today, too.

Kelli, I hope your rib feels better!

I actually got a really good night's sleep and am in a good mood today (for now, anyway)! Dh & ds are still asleep, so it's been a nice, quiet morning. I got the material cut for my wrap, now just have to decide if I'm going to serge it or not.. doesn't have to be done, but it does look nicer with a finished edge. Oh, decisions! Nothing really planned for today other then making dh clean up his mess, oh and maybe have a baby (yeah right, I know). Funny how when he's cleaning & going through things he just spreads the mess rather then doing something about it!

I hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Good morning everyone!

Kelli, I hope you're feeling better.

Catherine - Calla is too cute all wrapped up in her towel.

Kristen, I hope you have a nice relaxing day, I hope it's as beautiful where you are as it is here - after Elina is done with her breakfast I think we'll all go take a walk as well.

Megan- your DH sounds like mine lol - or, he just transfers the mess in some way so thatthere is clean floor space. : I came home from work one night and he told me that he and ds cleaned ds's room. "Clean" meant piling all the toys that were on the floor onto his table.

AAM: I am getting emotional reading about all the births! I am so in love with my birth experience, but it's funny, I find myself sad that it's all over. No more weekly visits with the midwives, etc. Isn't that weird, considering how much I'm loving my Elina.

Morning ladies!!!

Today we're going to a potluck at my doula's house and just lazing around other than that. Nothing exciting going on body wise. Dh says his intuition tells him we'll have the baby this week. Guess I can hope it's true, but I'm tired of being so excited about when it'll happen, yk?

Cat - Calla is a total cutie!!!

Kelli - hope your rib feels better soon!

Morning! Today's a little better, not crying on the drop of a dime anymore . I guess the 14 hours of contractions took thier toll on me on Friday because yesterday I was just sooo exhausted all day long! I slept in til 11am and by 2:30 I was ready to go back to sleep, lol. I managed to stay up til about 10pm (usually go to sleep around midnight or 1am) but by then I was sooo whiney and just a worthless use of space that it was pitiful, lol. So yeah, geez. Also never knew how tender contractions could make your stomach. My stomach is still a little sore from Friday. Everytime I have a contraction I wince a little... feels like I did 1 million crunches. I kept waking up ALL night long because each contraction hurt. Hopefully it feels a little better before I go into labor for real. I can imagine that being a bit tougher to manage.

But anyways, I'll quit blathering... Gonna go and make lunch to get something to eat. Hope you ladies have a wonderful day! Labor vibes to those who need/want them!!

Hi! good luck audsma- hope this is it for you!

Here's me feeling like a whiney useless waste of space, too. I have a head cold, nothing serious, just enough to be completely insulting on top of being post partum!!! : Milo is nursing constantly the last two days. I don't know if he lost any weight, bc the MW's didn't weigh him on Monday, but he looks a bit pudgier to me, so who knows? He's hardly slept at all today, too! Maybe he'll sleep tonight? (I wish!)

heidirk Hope your cold goes away soon. Calla is nursing constantly too for the last two days! I can barely find time to eat and sleep - can't imagine being sick on top of that!
