I watched DS hopping off his trike to "get the mail!" yesterday and whipped out my craft felt supply. It's not a perfect design...I've already improved it ...but I'm happy with it!

oh my gosh how sweet! Terrific idea!! My kids love to get our mail as well, perhaps they'll recieve some felt mail in their stockings this year!

That's really cute! Do the letters slip easily in and out of the envelopes, or do they get caught up?

They're craft felt, so they don't slip very well. I've been folding the letters in half and tucking them in. I ended up making a bunch of other ones too, a baseball from Daddy, a cupcake as a birthday card for my niece and a little Christmas tree just because!

I just saw something in Land of Nod that is very similar, complete with attachable address labels, and a mail box. Very cute idea!

Have I mentioned recently how much I love working with felt? It's so simple!!! And I love that she's going to give a birthday card with longevity! I'm making some for my own niece and my son's daycare buddies. (DS already has a basket full!)

Well, that land of nod gift is great! I think I know what to make my 2 year old nephew now!

3901sca- I agree, I love felt becasue it is so versatile. If you get the wool stuff instead of the acrylic it is so much nicer too, it last longer, feels better and holds up much better.
