and i was there with my 8 month old who seemed to be smitten with her 14 month old daughter. he kept following her around. it was really cute. she also had a 5 year old son. we talked for a bit, she had a ring sling, and then i saw her breastfeeding the 14 month old and i was like omg because i haven't run into that in public before. so i went up to her and said "are you nursing her?" and she gave a sort of nervous "yeah" and i said "that's cool. i breastfeed david too. it's nice to see that." i made her daughter unlatch though. oops! but i really just wanted to say something nice and encouraging to a NIP mama. 
she told me that her 5 yo had just weaned about a week ago. this was like 3-4 weeks ago when i went to b&n. i meant to post it on here at the time but i forgot. i hope it's the right forum.
