It's my due date...guess baby wasn't aware that he/she could come a few days early...hopefully he or she realizes that a few days late is better then two weeks late....lol

I am doing ok but once again up in the middle of the night...well at least this time I did manage to get about 4 hours sleep in before waking up. Hopefully I can fall asleep again soon and get a few more hours sleep.

Dh is on Parental leave as of today, so I know I can go for a nap when needed so that is a good thing.

Hope many more babies are gearing up for the big arrival...feels like October is almost over!!

Morning Maggie, sorry you were up again in the night!! I've been lucky in that I've been sleeping pretty well. Which is good because I get worn out easily. It's nice that your DH is getting to take Parental leave! I can't wait for our babe to come so DH will be home with us for a couple of weeks

We had a nice long walk on a nature trail yesterday afternoon after a quiet day at the house. Today the kids and I are going to do some crafts for them, and get their toys and books all weeded through and nice and neat before the baby comes.

I'm having constipation issues which really, really sucks. I don't want to be stopped up when labor starts, it's miserable. So I'm sitting here giving myself good potty vibes, hah! I'm not sure if it's the change from our regular daily routine but weekends seem to be the time I have issues. So hopefully today I'll be able to go >.<

Hope all you other ladies are doing well or having babies!

Sorry you're not sleeping well Maggie! That totally sucks, but I'm glad you'll be able to get a nap in!

Kristen - Weekends throw me off too. I don't eat as well or as often, don't drink enough water, etc. Sending you good potty vibes too!

AAM: I've got my work cut out for me to get my house back in order. It's amazing what having Dh home for 2 days can do to the house!!! And the midwives are coming for my prenatal tonight, so I'd like it to at least be respectable.

Yesterday we went to a potluck at my doula's house and brought homemade refried beans, spanish rice, and corn tortillas! Yummy! It was a big hit; everyone wants Dh to show them how to make tortillas now. Got to meet some of the local Momma's too and they were super nice. Hopefully this babe will come soon so I can start hanging out at their group! Two of them are pregnant too, so there'll be some littles for mine to grow up with.

I looked at the "Birth Predictions" thread the other day to see what I'd guessed.... I guessed babe would arrive on the 21st, which is tomorrow. I really don't think that's happening. Due date is Friday though... it can't be *that* much longer, right?

Good afternoon, everyone! Still pregnant. I just lost the most ridiculous amount of mucus, though, and am hoping that it means something. I have an appointment this afternoon that I was hoping to not go to.. but looks like that's not gonna happen. I read some sad news this morning, a local mama who actually posted here for a short time in the beginning of her pregnancy delivered her baby yesterday, and he was born sleeping. It always seems different (to me anyway) when I actually know the person (meaning irl).. so much scarier. I just cannot even imagine how one copes with such a tradegy.

Today is my due date, too. I hope that both of us are holding babies before too long.

I'm due tomorrow... I’m at a good place now and not constantly thinking "Oh I want her here now! She needs to hurry!" She’ll come when she’s ready and I’ve officially relinquished control and am just going with the flow. I feel good now. I feel at peace. A TON better since Fri's 14 hour marathon. Hopefully things got going on down there after all of that... (TMI warning) I feel wider than usual down there and last night when Tony (dh) got nosy (he’s so crazy)and wanted to feel what was going on down there, he could feel Katherine moving with the tips of his fingers as he was "examining" me, lol. I don’t get checked until after I hit 41 weeks so still no idea what’s going on technically... only our uneducated guesses that I’m dilated a bit, lol.

Well, my baby boy is coming home after spending the weekend at Grandma's while I recuperated mentally, physically, and emotionally so I gotta go and clean up a bit before he gets here.

Hope you ladies have a great day and sending lots of labor vibes to those who need/want them!!!

Hi ladies!!! I'm still here Not sure what I'm going to do today to keep my mind off of everything.....suggestions?!?! I should probably go for a walk, but I really don't feel like it! I walked yesterday and even had to sprint after my toddler....not too pleasant! My BH contractions seem to be getting stronger and closer together again....they stay around 10 minutes apart. Last night they were coming every 5 minutes or so while the little one was nursing....I guess the wee one isn't finished cooking yet. - I hope that everyone has a great day!! i'm really trying to enjoy my last few days of having a baby in my belly...I remember that I missed it after the fact so I'm REALLY trying not to be so anxious! - I think it's other people that make us anxious.....rambling now so I'm gonna go!!! Big Hugs momma's! We're almost there

Gah, it IS, isn't it? I just keep saying as long as this is an Oct. baby I'm ok... but Nov is creeping up on us pretty quickly!

Lee Ann - if you figure out something to do to distract yourself, let me know! I've tons to do today in terms of cleaning, but I just want to sit around and mope. I think I need to put on some peppy music... might get me up off my butt to clean the kitchen.

Amy Lynn - I'm SURE your 14 hr marathon did *something*!!! Glad to hear you've found some peace for the time being!

mkmb129 - about the sad news. It does strike closer to home when it's someone irl, doesn't it? Not that my heart didn't break for the ladies in our own ddc too.

Still here and I don't foresee baby coming this week (maybe by the weekend, but even that I'm unsure about). I'm due on Saturday, wow!

I spent today getting some stuff done around the house and going to the grocery store again. My big project was prepping DS' placenta from 2.5 years ago for use after this birth. I cleaned, cooked, dehydrated, and ground it up. It was actually really easy, although the smell did bother me some while it was cooking. Eventually I think I'll encapsulate it, but for now I'm just planning on putting the powder in some juice. My main reason for doing it is to hopefully avoid PPD this time around.

Mental note to self: Baby *really* likes chocolate covered raisins. Maybe eating them right before bed isn't the bestest of ideas.
