My 6 week old ds is teething, hard to believe but i am very sure of it.
It wouldn't really be a problem, but he now won't drink from me any more,
yesterday I pumped some milk to give to him with a bottle, (he usually isn't a fan of that) & he took it, now he is really upset and crying, but i can't get any milk , i've been pumping like crazy but it's not even 40 ml , i just don't know what to do!

Did you ask the pedi about pain relief? Or try icing (carefully with crushed ice wrapped in a damp washcloth) the gums before latch-on? Breast refusal from teething is usually all about the pain.

Thank you, I've been feeding him with a spoon now, as he won't drink formula .
I hope I don't "dry up", I wonder why the pumping doesn't work.
Anyway, i'm off to buy some ice cubes!

it sounds like maybe your supply could be low, 40 ml from pumping for a 6 wk old isn't a lot. i would suggest not using a bottle and attempting to put DS to the breast as much as possible, like every hour if needed so he can stimulate you to make more milk and he will be getting enough.

You could give Hyland's teething tabs, they are homeopathic and melt on babies toungue and taste like sugar. but 6 weeks is not really a normal age for teething, my hunch is that something else is going on either with your supply or babies latch or maybe a chance of illness in the baby but I doubt that as he is so young, but it does happen.

I would suggest calling local hospitals and find one that has a certfied lactation conultant on staff and going in for a consult.

No, he's teething, my dd started this early, too, but that wasn't an issue as i wasn't "able" to breastfeed her anyway. I so regret that, putting education over my childs needs. ugh. I really need to make this work, i'm able to get some milk if i do it with my hands, but i heard it's bad for the breast, but that's better than ds not eating, i guess. :/
