Ok, so here I am again, always posing the vexxing problems of finding care near me somewhere near Emporia, VA. I had my baby on Thursday, and I just want to take him to the doc just to double check on his jaundice.

The thing is, I refused the hepititis vax in the hospital, i told them I wanted to discuss it with my family doctor first. But I don't think my family doctor is taking new patients right now. So I'm looking for a non-vax friendly doc who will be ok with me not vaxing my kid right now.

Anywhere as far as chester, or suffolk or lawrenceville, or south hill would be good. Anyone?

Dr Karen Washington in Suffolk is cool with delayed vax. DD2 had a vax reaction at 2 months on the selective/delay schedule that CHKD gen peds brushed me off about and by the description she's allergic to the vax or it's components. My mom, a RN, is not thrilled about her not being vaxed, but also realizes that we may have gotten lucky with only limb swelling. If nothing else, Dr. Washington may accept a "religious objection" since she seemed ok about my not wanting to vax DD2 for a while, if ever.
