where do you find great buttons online?

I am making a baby sweater for a friend in a rich chocolate brown. She doesn't know if the baby is a girl or a boy, so the buttons will be attached post-birth. I have some super cute wooden buttons for a boy, and would love to find some pretty, unusual pink buttons (no bunnies or bears - something sophisticated and different) in case it's a girl.

I could look in shops here, but would have to bring along DS who's 2, and while I adore him, the thought of searching for perfect buttons with him is enough to give me hives.

So...suggestions?

I think buttons make the sweater too! I am loving peace fleece's buttons. While not so much sofisticated- they are beautiful and unique and come in a wide range of colors.

I was just searching online for buttons myself. I found some lovely buttons, but a lot of the online stores had high shipping. I refuse to pay $8 for ship a $3 button. : There are some nice handmade buttons on Etsy, and I saw lots of cute ones on Ebay. My favorite buttons for a baby girl are the Beatrix Potter buttons that you can get at Joann. The pink Hunca Munca might work. They're also really reasonable. Buttons are my lys are crazy expensive. ETA: OK, so they're not exactly sophisticated. But they are super cute.

Thanks, ladies .

I actually have a few Peace Fleece buttons IowaOrganic - they're beautiful, but the wrong colors. I wish they offered more pinks! The buttons I'll use if it's a boy are Peace Fleece wood ones.

I searched ebay, but was kind of overwhelmed. I ended up ordering a few from Etsy - hopefully they'll work. But those Beatrix Potter ones are so cute, I may need to make a trip to Joann's...

And Kennedy444, thanks for the links, I am bookmarking them!
