Grrrrr...

I'm in the midst of doing my vaccine research right now (baby due in December). I will be (at the very least, delaying and doing selective). Anyway...
I've been reading things on the Inside Vaccines website (seems like a great site, btw). And I was reading the list of adverse effects for the Hep B vaccine (the list on the package insert).

It can cause MS?!?!?!?

Seriously?!

My mom has SEVERE, progressive MS. I've grown up being taught that no-one knows what causes it. Well...apparently the pharma company knows of at least one cause!!!

I'm just so angry! Seriously...do ANY doctors ever actually get INFORMED consent from patients before giving them these vaccines, any at all?

People want me to give my little baby girl a vaccine for Hep B (because, you know, my baby is going to be using IV drugs and having illicit sex as soon as she can crawl ), but this vaccine could cause her to have the same debilitating disease I've watched my mother suffer through since I was a little girl? I don't think so!

I mean, gee...when did people start getting the Hep B vaccine? Could my mom's MS be related?

I just can't believe people act like vaccines are so safe yet the manufacturer's themselves admit they can cause things like MS. How do you get over the anger that this stinky situation causes?

/rant

ETA: I guess...in addition to feeling angry I'm just in shock. This is a huge revelation for me.

I can relate. Most of us go through these HUGE bursts of anger once we start researching and correlating our family's autoimmune disorder histories with the vaccines we have had.

You may have a very big uphill battle with your mom being open to this information, but at least you on going to make an informed choice for your babe.

I can totally relate...a very close friend of the family who is an ER nurse was suffering from MS type symptoms...everything from weakness to blurred vision.

She saw like 100 specialists...had umpteen scans and bloodwork (all the stuff they do to eliminate everything else so they can actually diagnose MS) She spent a year with all these symptoms and going through all these tests...they never figured out what was wrong with her. Finally after about a year, most of the major symptoms started to abate. It's been almost 3 years and she still has things crop up now and again.

I finally asked her about three months into this ordeal, when she had had her last Hep B. She told me it was about 3 months ago. After all this, she absolutely refused and still refuses to believe that the two things are connected in any way...spent several thousand more $$ on tests and specialists...I even showed her the package insert...no one...not one specialist...not one person other than me mentioned that there might be a connection and she still blew me off as a complete crack pot...sheeple

I can relate also. When I started doing the research it really hit home. I mean SIDS....SBS.....MS....Cancer....Autism...where does it end.

I beleive the Hep-B vaccine uses recumbant DNA. What is that DNA "looks" like the myelin sheath that covers your nerves like insulation on wiring? (i'm an electrician by trade) Then the body will attack that and the demyelination process starts.

Which apparently is not proof that it could cause it , just had to come her to vent.

The adverse reactions information that is on the package inserts is only what the vaccine manufacturer absolutely must put on.

They pay for all the studies and can then choose which study they will reveal.

Keep researching. I am sure you will see that NO vaccine can do any good and each one can do lots of damage.

I came back one more time, I believe that I've also read that aspartame can be the cause MS.

And the fact that the chance of getting MS after the Hep B vax increased was pretty much revealed in the first nurses studies they did. From what I remember there were 30% higher incidence rates in the vaccinated vs. unvaccinated nurses.

That study has since then been hidden. They followed up with another "nurses study" which fared better for the vaccine. That is the study that will always come up when you try and search for the first nurses study.

My father's sister has severe MS. She developed it when she was in her late teens and it just got worse from there. Now I wonder...

It's an awful thing to say about anyone, and it's especially offensive coming from a school nurse, of all people.
