i have heard a lot about knitpicks, but don't have that kind of money right now. I found these http://www.wrights.com/wrights/produ...mates_accs.htm on sale for $12.49 today and got them.
Are they ok, or at least decent for that price?
thanks

Holy crap, you got those for thirteen bucks? Wow. They're a good $65 here. Let me know how they work for you, would ya?

well, they were at Tuesday Morning and i guess they were old and on clearance and it was the 3rd day of a 3 days only 50% off on all clearance and they were marked at $29.99 but rang up at $24.99 clearance and then were half of that due to the sale, so I just stumbled on a deal I could not pass up. I am trying out a set now but have not had time to get very far.

Holy cow! What a great deal! I'm gonna have to look for a Tuesday Morning around here!!!

sweet deal! I have a ton of Boye crochet hooks and a few straight needles from when I was a kid and they're just fine. For that price I'd be totally psyched

Wow! Are you enjoying them? I have been purchasing Knit Picks cables and needles as I've needed them. I do like the interchable aspect of them a lot! Wish I'd had them years ago when I started collecting needles. I use the nickel plated tips and so far I really like them.

I picked up the Boyes set at Tuesday Morning a while back, also. I knew they had had them, so I went digging and found the only set in the store.

As for how I like them... I much prefer the Knitpicks (I don't have the full set, just a couple pairs). The Boyes in the smaller sizes are okay, although the cord is pretty stiff, so no ML. But, when you get into the larger sizes the tips are so short that I have trouble hanging onto them without dropping stitches. For the price you paid, they were probably worth it, since they are serviceable for a lot of things. However in the long run, I know I will eventually wind up buying a Knitpicks set anyway.

It's a steal at that price! My friend has a set and likes them a lot. I have a set from Knitpicks and love them.
