Here's a gift that thinks of the knitter....

I want some!

They would be so easy to make....I bet it's like the record bowls...heat and bend. I may have to try it.

Mostly because $30 seems outrageous for those and I'm cheap. And I have no idea how much time and energy is put into them. Ask me after I attempt my first one.

So there you go! A potential gift that would seriously make any knitter happy. 'Cause those are cool!

I completely agree. Very cool but overpriced.

I have some old Boye's in size 8 that have already started bending themselves...oooo, a new project! Yeah, that's overpriced, but I bet some will bite...it's quirky.

What are they?

I had a friend who did this with toothbrushes, she dropped them in boiling water and molded them with tongs in the water, then when they got out of the hot water and cooled off they were fixed in whatever shape they were molded to be.

Ok, so who's gonna try it and see how hard it is? Wonder if you could stick a watch into the plastic too? Prolly need some glue or something, but wouldn't it be neat?

I mean no disrespect to the artist on Etsy. I wish her much luck with her shop and hope lots of people have the $ to spend on these. I, however, don't. KWIM?

We've had a crafty day here (got visited by a "phantom ghost" and needed to reciprocate) so I'll get the ornry one to sleep and give it a go!
