Current stats on pain relief used in circumcision

The most recent stats I have seen on pain relief used in circumcisions are these:

http://pediatrics.aappublications.or.../full/101/6/e5
and
http://edition.cnn.com/HEALTH/9712/2...tic/index.html

but these are really old.....I've seen a study frequently bandied about by pro circs (that I can't find the link to now) that states that 97% of student doctors are learning pain relief methods to be used in circumcisions but I don't consider this to mean how many will actually USE it kwim? also it's not necessarily an accurate figure of how many doctors actually use it now.

So is there an up to date study on this?

I don't have an accurate answer for you, but I've been taking classes by leading intactivists at www.consciouswoman.org ("Intact Boy Series") and I'm very surprised to hear (from Ron Goldman, Gillian Longley, Marilyn Milos) that the majority of amputations of the foreskin are STILL being done with no anaesthetic. It's absolutely mind boggling that this cruelty can be allowed.

I don't know what the source of that info is but I'll see if I can find out.
