And also - I know this probably won't make you feel better because I totally understand how frustrating this is, but i wouldnt just call it a false alarm - probably your body's way of gearing up to do what it needs to do. So SOMETHING is happening, even if it's not actual active labor.
Right?
Ha ha, yeah VERY frustrating. I'm borderline on whether or not to call my OB. He's an hour away and I'd HATE to go in to see if my water broke and then be told I'm an idiot cause it's not, lol. Well he wouldn't do that but still, lol. I asked him during our initial consultation visit before I hired him about water breaking w/out contractions and he said to wait at home until they start, but never thought to ask what to do if water breaks after contractions and then contractions fizzle out. Don't want to go in only to be induced with pitocin to get things going... I dread pitocin!! Ya know? I need to get a hold of my doula...

I am at least at peace knowing that SOMETHING is going on down there. Even if after Fri and today I only get dilated to a 2 or something that's still better than nothing Trying to stay positive and not pull my hair out, lmao.

Thanks for your post And thanks ladies for your kinds words and ELV's... Muchly appreciated ((hugs))

Lee - Still sending baby having vibes your way! Sounds like it's it to me too since you're not one of the ladies whose been having lots of stuff happening before! And I wish my intuition would kick in sooner too, I could have told you a while ago you'd have the baby today ... and then maybe *I'd* know when *my* little bugger would come out!

Amy Lynn - it sounds like your water broke to me too, or at least it's a huge possibility. I'm hoping these contrx don't fizzle out on you again, but even if they do they ARE doing something. Just think, you're getting a couple days rest in between bouts of labor instead of doing it all at once! Not that it makes it any less frustrating though.

Rozziemamma - I know how you feel about the crampiness going away! I was sad at first too! I was like "Darnit, something was happening and now it's not!" But really, it wasn't something real if it was just dehydration and if I'd continued to be dehydrated than when the real stuff hit it'd just hurt worse, yk?

Today was supposed to be spent getting the house ready for baby, but instead it is dealing with my landlord (who tried to enter our house without knocking or prior notice!!! It scared the bejeezus out of me!) Sigh.

My EDD isn't til Sunday, so I'm not super concerned about the lack of ctx. I had a lot of the menstrual crampiness the last couple weeks, but that's completely gone now. I wish something, anything would happen!

Hubby took off tonight. Still not sure if my water broke, but my contractions are getting stronger and closer together (well except this last one which had almost 8 mins between it, rest have been about 5-6 mins apart). These mutherf*ckers hurt, lol. But I’m getting through them pretty good. I’ve been having contractions now for over 18 hours so hopefully this is REALLY it...

Just thought I’d update ya’ll.
