My son has a project due in science. He has to make a replica of the grand canyon. Today I went out and bought some paint, as well as installation styrofoam..its huge, 2 inches thick by about 8 feet. I also got a glue guna nd lots of glue..I need ideas! How do I cut the canyon into it? Im gonna try and get an electric carving knife from a friend but Im not sure how to make the mountains on the sides of th actual canyon..maybe build up some of the extra pieces of the strofoam? Im hoping to use the hot glue guns glue over the blue he pains in for the water..for the real water affect.. HELP!
