Breastmilk in neti pot -- anyone try?

DH has had an ongoing cold for about 1.5 weeks. Still miserable. I suggested putting some bmilk in a neti pot (he uses it fairly regularly). He's game but I've never done it before..anyone have any luck with killing off a cold this way?

TIA!

I'm interested to see what people say. What a smart idea!

No experience but brilliant idea. But...depending on your stash, do you want to "waste" that much milk when you can use other things like GSE instead?

Ooooh! Doulamary - I hadn't thought of GSE...may try that. I actually have no stash, I was going to pump just a bit and mix it w/ water for DH. I googled it and found one reference to mixing about a tablespoon w/ water and doing a nasal rinse with it.

Anyone else heard of this?
