When did you venture out? - Page 2

Wow, trying to remember. . .

#1--the next day, to the grocery store to pick up a few items and a prescription.

#2--I don't remember exactly. But pretty soon after I got home. . . we had severe latch issues and I ended up going to the hospital lactation clinic almost every day for 7 or 8 days straight. And then she was readmitted to the hospital at 1 week for fluids and lights (Bili levels got to 20+ and she was lethargic and dehydrated despite my best efforts to get food into her).

#3--(emergency c-section). We actually stopped at the store on the way home to fill an Rx and pick up a couple of things. I was 3 days pp at that point and it was TOO MUCH! I don't think I went out again until day 6 for baby's follow-up with the doc. I'm definitely not "up and about" as much and as early as I was with my other two. At 3 1/2 weeks pp, I can still only manage short trips out of the house and that's with DH or my mom helping me with baby/older kids.

I had my little critter early Wednesday morning, and have been home ever since. I've got a wedding tomorrow evening, and I'm thinking I'll go. Quite frankly, the only part about it that concerns me is it's about a 50 minute drive each way. That's a long time in a car, for both me and her.

I got a 'swaddle me' by Kiddopotamus, that goes in the car seat, and the buckles buckle inside it. It looked strange, but it sure does the trick with Milo!

It's an hour trip to the birth center, and he's been fine both times!
