Well, #@$#&! - Page 2

Okay, I am subbing to watch what happens next, and to buck the system. My DS had suddenly had rxns the last few days...and I have been wresting with this...if I didn't know better, I'd swear he's reacting to the Applegate chicken hot dogs I give him (too frequently, I admit) for lunch. So if there is corn or dairy...well, I may have to kill someone over at Applegate Farms.

I hope they haven't gone and changed something...because he was tolerating them very well.

Mommydancer, are you part of the Avoiding Corn forum over at Delphi forums? If you ask there about the Applegate hot dogs I'm sure someone will know if they have corn in them or if anything has changed recently. I post there frequently and would be happy to ask, if you want.

Mommydancer, I just went back to the website and I think the chicken might be a problem. It has sodium lactate (supposedly from beets) and lactic acid starter culture (not specified), but the turkey hotdogs don't have either. I bet it's the starter culture.

I have trouble staying current on this forum...can't add another. Would be glad for any solid reason not to go postal on Applegate...which will probably happen if they changed our favorite hot dog. : :

FWIW, restaurant associates rarely know exactly what's in their food, because as PP pointed out, it comes pre-prepared a lot of the time. I once got reamed a new one when I was a waitress, for not knowing that there was wheat flour in the french fries. I had even asked the kitchen manager to be sure, and he said there wasn't... there was. Apparently it keeps them from sticking together in the bag or something.
