This is not entirely true.... In Montana (where I live) daycares do NOT allow religious exemptions. At least as far as we have exhausted our research efforts looking at any rules and regulations we have found. The preschool is tricky because most preschools are actually licensed here as daycares... So there is no distinction for the most part in preschool licensing and daycare licensing.... So there's the religious exemption problem.
The last time a group introduced legislation to allow religious exemption for daycare here, the DPHHS did everything they could to scare the legislators to think if they voted for it that they were voting for the death of their children.
So anyways, I was looking for some actual medical understanding of why pro-vax people would be scared of non-vaxed kids. Especially when kids are not allowed to go to preschool if they have a fever (and of course parents resort to dosing with tylenol, etc. so their child perhaps would no longer have a fever... but that's beside the point here). And if they have an illness they are not allowed to attend until it is determined safe. So there are precautions in place.
